Real Life Stories - April 2016

Screen 20 of 21

2) When something is to be thrown out, she will say "don’t even question me", take it out now.

3) She has me trained to "fetch her coffee and paper every morning". I have learned precisely how to make her coffee and bring it to her in bed every morning. She gets to read whatever sections she likes. I get whatever is left

4) She has me not only do the laundry but fold it and put it away for her.

5) I am told to run errands for her all the time - the best show of her control over me was when she told me to "turn off the football game, come over here and take this bra back to the dept store for me". I said, “do I have to do it now”? She said, "Right now and don’t ask again". I quickly scrambled over and proceeded to take it. I turned around on my way to the car, and she just smiled, knowing she has me completely wrapped around her finger.

6) Now, I ask her if I can do things for her. She seems to love it.

7) She now makes all of the decisions for any purchase in the house and when she can see that I am not in complete agreement (I of course to challenge her ideas) she quickly responds by saying, "You're not questioning my decisions, are you ?". I respond, "No, I won't question your decisions". She smiles and says, "Good, I knew you would see it my way".

8) Finally, I now have to ask if I want to go somewhere, get up from rubbing her feet, or call someone on the phone. Sometimes she says "No" and laughs when I don’t respond or question her.
