Belle ran a first class establishment but she was much more than just a smart business woman and an Artist. Belle was indeed a very talented Dominatrix女支配者 — a dominant woman who loved to dominate men. One gentleman wrote about his session with Belle in 1981:

“I walked from my hotel to the address of Belle De Jour and found it to be a door way leading up stairs. There was a wrought iron grill in front of the door leading to a set stairs going to a second floor. My heart was pounding and I was scared so walked right on by. Bet I made 5 or 6 passes before getting enough courage to enter. It was hard to be cool.,

Finally got enough to go to the gate. The door was open but the iron gate closed. The gate was locked but there was a bell so pressed the button and now my heart was pounding like a drum. The electrical buzz indicated that the gate was opened, I went up the stairs. These were dark wood and went directly up one flight. At the top of the stairs was a guy sitting at a desk, he asked what I was looking for, so I told him Belle De Jour, he said that this was the correct place, Belle will be with you shortly have a seat.

There was a small waiting area just to the left of his desk and stair well. After what seemed like hours Belle came out and asked if I wanted a session and she said that she could take care of my needs . I should make payment to the man at the desk and she would be back in a few minutes.
