History of Female Domination Magazines: 1970 - Present

Screen 15 of 22

What made these magazines so popular was they contained authentic material of lifestyle Dommes女主人 — a dominant woman and Female Fetishists. These magazines featured a variety of subject matter on the B&D and fetish恋物 — a strong sexual focus on one thing scenes, including regular interviews and photo spreads with genuine professional Mistresses女主人 — a woman who leads a submissive partner. It was in an early issue of "Fantasy Register" that Ms Stephanie Locke appeared in a six-page photo spread and subsequently spawned the idea for Jackson’s landmark magazine, “Dominant Directory International” (or DDI). Ms Locke wasn't the first professional mistress女主人 — a woman who leads a submissive partner to be featured, but she was the first to come back to Mr. Jackson and thank him for the visibility. She claimed to have acquired more than two dozen new clients thanks to the interview and inclusion of her phone number.

Mistress女主人 — a woman who leads a submissive partner Stephanie Locke's “thank you” put David Jackson to thinking. First, direct-contact visibility in "Fantasy Register" or "Stiletto细高跟 — a very thin high heel" obviously had a fair value. Second, more and more professional Mistresses女主人 — a woman who leads a submissive partner were writing to him clamoring for similar visibility. This was detracting from other editorial content, such as fetish恋物 — a strong sexual focus on one thing fashion features, readers' photos or fantasy stories. Third, selecting only one Dominatrix女支配者 — a dominant woman to highlight, per issue, was unfair to other Dominas hoping for comparable recognition.

The logical thing to do was to create a magazine dedicated to the professional Dominatrix女支配者 — a dominant woman, and only the professional Dominatrix女支配者 — a dominant woman. Thanks to that one telephone call from a grateful Dominatrix女支配者 — a dominant woman, DDI was born.
