One interesting sidenote about Rueben Sturman was the adult toy company he started in the late 1960’s. It was named in mocking tribute to then President Lyndon B. Johnson, whose justice department repeatedly attempted to prosecute Sturman for obscenity. That company was called “Doc Johnson” and today it continues to sell popular sex toys.
