Dear Elise, I enjoyed reading the story about the F/D wedding on your site. You invited others to share their F/D wedding ceremonies and receptions, subsequently here is mine.
My wedding was a very traditional church wedding with nothing overtly F/D. However, the women in my family have a tradition that all grooms must adhere to as part of the wedding reception. It began as a joke when my grandparents were married and it has evolved thanks to me, my sister and my female cousins.
When my grandmother married my grandfather, his friends hooked a ball and chain to his ankle at the reception as a joke that he had lost his freedom. This tradition continued for my mother and father and her brothers. The groom was always placed in the same ball and chain that my grandfather wore at his wedding reception. It was done in humor and good taste with no sexual reference whatsoever.
The ball and chain got lost by the time my oldest sister got married back in 2001. To keep the tradition going, my cousins placed a dog collar项圈 — a band worn around the neck on her new husband at the reception and he had to get on all fours as she attached a leash牵引绳 — a lead clipped to a collar on the collar项圈 — a band worn around the neck and led him around the head table. People laughed hysterically. Once again, there were no sexual references and it was done in good fun. The dog collar项圈 — a band worn around the neck tradition carried on for my cousins when they were married.
