Real Stories - June/July 2020

Screen 3 of 26

When I got done with this blissful errand, I stopped by our local office supply store to pick up a few items. As I walked into the store, I noticed that a young Woman was Xeroxing some papers at the copy machine. As I was standing nearby, she started asking if anyone had any kleenex. I searched my pockets and, finding I had none, started to look around for some. I asked some store employees if they had any, and when that was unsuccessful, I actually went behind the store counter to see if I could find any (I was determined to serve this lady). After the startled store clerks told me there was no kleenex behind the counter, I asked where the men's room was.

All throughout this episode, I noticed the woman at the Xerox machine looking behind her at what was going on with a big smile on her face. She knew what I was doing and I think she sensed that I would not give up until I had found some kleenex for her and had served her properly. Seeing her lovely smile sent me into a delightful subspace, and I hurried off to the men’s room (all the way to the back of the store) to get her what she wanted. After a long walk to get the kleenex, I rushed back to the Xerox machine, hoping the lady had not left. She hadn’t, and as I approached, I noticed her glancing at me, amused and delighted at my devotion. I presented her with exactly what she asked for. Her big smile and thank you was all the reward I needed. I floated out of the store on a cloud of submissive顺从 — willing to obey happiness.
