Real Life Stories - September 2013
Screen 16 of 21
I want to share some of my day to day lifestyle with you and your readers. My wife is very beautiful and I worship崇拜侍奉 — adoring service her every day. We have been blessed with three wonderful children. My wife is now a stay at home mom and enjoys running our house.
When we first were married, I was aware of my wife's strong personality and controlling attitude but was not sure how far she would take it. Furthermore, in the beginning of our wonderful 17 years of marriage, she and I assumed "equal roles" and equal decision making. Still, she would frequently impose her feeling or her decisions on me. I would try to respond by "fighting her" on those decisions I did not like. This would cause fights and ultimately send me to the couch for several nights and one time locked out of the house (I got to sleep on the patio furniture). Over time, I learned that her strong will was not something I should try to change. I also learned that my personality was one of being a "people pleaser" and I began to realize that by keeping her happy, it made me feel better and strengthened our bond. Further, I knew any chance of having romance in the bedroom was contingent on me not only "behaving" myself but it began to be a requirement that I obeyed her.
