This was just a start. I continued to do some of her work for her and before long, she was having me do all the dirty work, that which she didn’t enjoy doing. Sometimes she requested that I do certain work assignments and sometimes she just commanded me as if joking with a seriousness as well. However, just to put things in perspective, she was a really smart person, so despite all the help I was giving her, she understood what was going on and her presentations were impressive, much more impressive than my meek ones. I did the dirty, tedious work but she added that special touch to make it impressive.

At the end of her internship, she applied for a job and as the usual process goes, there were some interviews. I was one of the interviewers. She was in my office when she sat down with her head hanging as she was probably tired. What she said next completely surprised me. "Before you begin asking me all these questions I want you to know that I need this job bad so you better make sure that I get it!"
