Everybody liked the progress in our project and she was getting all the credit, even for a year’s worth of work that I did before she joined us. I was so much consumed thinking about her that when the reviews were collected, I praised her like crazy while when I saw mine, I knew there were various negative comments which probably came from her. Instead of annoying me, it aroused me a lot more. Our work was growing, and finally I was shocked to learn that she was double promoted so that she can supervise the project and hire people if needed. To worsen my humiliation羞辱 — shame given on purpose, she was made my immediate boss. I felt really ashamed. Five or more years at this work and a fresh grad comes in and in a year or so becomes my boss. I should have probably quitted in shame, but I went to her office and congratulated her. She was all beaming in her new office when she saw me and asked me to sit down.

Five minutes later she kept her phone down and told me straight... "So... I think from now on it’s either my way or no way. Don’t you agree?”

She asked me out to dinner that night so we could discuss our new arrangement. While drinking, she asked me if I knew about bdsm.
