During my wife's early studies, our marriage was reasonably good, probably because of our love more for our daughters -- but I did love my wife, too. However, after her first degree, she was often away on field or research trips, and after her PhD, was heavily involved in teaching and research. She became more critical of me for not being ambitious and at times called me weak. Well, I guess I was weak in that she finally recognized she was superior to me. So it happened. She met a man on a field trip and they ran off together.
