Verushka saw new paradigms evolving and was always reading books and writing articles and letters on the subject. She wrote a column for two years for a publication called “Encore”. Other columns were for “Dominant Mystique” and” Dominant View” out of New York City.

Verushka became a world renowned Dominatrix女支配者 — a dominant woman in the 1990's.

”With the nineties, there arrived a great influx of young Women who came to be called "Mc Dominas." They thought it was a thrill to put on leather, buy a whip and "play" at being a ProDom. Of course there were also some wonderful sincere young Women who emerged at the same time; My favorite being the fabulous Ilsa Strix. Sadly, the majority of them were lightweights out to make a quick buck. They really could not have cared less about the scene, or their clients.”

I do not do S&M. I do D&S, which represents Dominance and Submission. When a generally uneducated person hears the term, S&M that person thinks of blood, bruises, broken bones and screaming tortured beings, which is definitely the "S" part of S&M. But along with that, the uneducated person assumes, subconsciously, of non-consent and pain inflicted by a maniac or psychopath against the will of "the victim".
