This month I bring you another "reader recommended" movie review. As always we here at "Predominant" listen to you, our loyal readership and hope you continue to keep the suggestions coming.

“Sunset Boulevard” is a classic amongst the film-noir genre but this is no "B" movie as it was honored with eleven Academy Award nominations and the recipient of three Oscars: Best Story and Screenplay, Best Black and White Art Direction/Set Decoration, and Best Scoring of a Dramatic or Comedy Picture.

This story is the portrait of a forgotten silent star Norma Desmond, living in exile with her butler, Max, in her grotesque mansion, screening her old films, dreaming of a comeback. But it's also a love story, and it's the love within this story that keeps it from becoming a completely dark and sad movie.
