In a nutshell, once she is freed from a husband who never did it for her sexually, she proceeds to go on a tear of at least 8 men in a row, and at least one orgy we know of from her own 8mm movie in the swinging sex pad, before she finally meets a man that she likes.

In the final chapter of this film, Mimi stalks a somber radiologist, played by Jean-Louis Trintignant. He seems oddly cast at first, as he doesn't even enter the film until the third act and seems way too buttoned down, but I must admit that Trintignant and Spaak prove to be able sparring partners worthy of a screwball comedy.

Mimi poses as one of his students to get closer to the doctor. She arranges to be alone with him in a hotel where she seduces him. She introduces the stiff doctor to the thrills of sex by taking off her clothes in his car while he is driving, which leads to a humorous scene at a gas station where men gather around the car to see the naked lady.

She takes the doctor back to her sex pad where she shows him her orgy movie to measure his response. The doctor does not get jealous and explains to Mimi “sexual adventure is where you find it, and that a good marriage can have it too.” With that, he begins to smash up the mirrors in the sex pad, and Mimi joins him in destroying her ex-husband’s infidelity nest, symbolically freeing her to marry the doctor.
