I want to thank all those subscribers out there who have suggested movies to review. In fact, this month’s movie is one of them and is entitled “The Choirboys”. For those of you not familiar with this flick I will bring you up to date. It is not a fetish恋物 — a strong sexual focus on one thing movie but a mainstream movie from 1977 directed by Robert Aldrich (“The Dirty Dozen”, “Whatever Happened to Baby Jane?”) and it features an impressive male cast from that time period, some who are still making movies today.

The premise for this movie is a squad of off-duty police who like to pal around together after work and call it “choir practice”. In this mostly male environment the crude, off-color jokes fly and no one is safe from their childish antics. But even more menacing than this is the underlying expectation to conform or face being ridiculed for being different or having different idea’s and opinions.

This brings us to the reason “The Choirboys” was suggested to be reviewed for Predominant. There is a female character played by Phyllis Davis who is a Dominatrix女支配者 — a dominant woman. Her part is small yet vital to the film. We first meet her without knowing her “secret”. Two of the “choirboys” (Charles Durning and Perry King) make a stop at a Nudie bar and enter the dressing room of Foxy, one of the dancers.
