I walked into his office where he was talking on the phone. I told him I had to talk to him and he needed to get off the phone right now. Here he is in his business and he got right off the phone. I told him I was not going to work for him anymore and the look of disbelief was priceless.

He practically begged me to stay on. I couldn’t believe it. I was a terrible secretary yet he wanted me to stay on, even though he was doing both his job and my job.

I told him that I needed more money then the check he had sent me. He asked me how much more? I said I wanted it doubled. He agreed. Not only that but he took me shopping again and spent another $500 on me.

I didn’t go back to work but my check kept coming to my house, double my original salary. I still had the CB200 but I couldn’t get up the nerve to present it to Jim. Finally, he called me and asked if I could come into work at least once a week. He said I didn’t have to do much, but he mostly wanted to see me. He even said we could go shopping after working hours.
