She also said that she expected me to pamper and serve her. I would have to ask permission every night to get into our bed and, if denied, I would sleep uncomplainingly on an air mattress at the foot of the bed. Furthermore, if I was allowed to come to bed, I would sleep naked. She alone would have the right to initiate sexual relations, and she would always be on top unless she wanted me to serve her orally or perform other duties.

To say that I was startled by her demands would be a considerable understatement. She was asking me to surrender all privileges and to become little more than her slave奴隶 — a person kept in total obedience. I resisted at first but she said very plainly that she would not negotiate. I had to agree to everything – or nothing.

It also became clear to me that she was so determined to become the head of our household that our entire relationship would be jeopardized if I refused. With more than a little fear and trembling, I accepted her terms and my life was immediately and permanently upended. Nora took her new authority very seriously. I soon found myself doing all the grocery shopping and most household chores. She taught me to cook and, even if she chose to make something for dinner, setting the table, dishing out the food and cleaning up afterwards were entirely my responsibility.
