Real Stories - July/August 2007

Screen 24 of 29

I sat down on the couch and she stood before me. She was dressed in a very simple short black dress and she was wearing knee length black boots. I had never seen her dressed in this fashion before, and I must say that I did feel a twinge of arousal seeing her like this. She was calm, serious and almost arrogant in the way she was standing; something akin to the way fashion models give you that ‘drop dead’ look.

She said, “Robert, I am not at all pleased with the way you are performing of late.”

I didn’t quite know what to say and I managed to mumble, “What do you mean?”

She said, “I seem to be doing all the work in this marriage and it’s about time things changed.”

“Changed?” I asked. “Changed in what way?”

She swiftly stepped forward and slapped me hard across the face. I was stunned and leaned back against the back of the couch, looking at her in bewilderment. I had seen this scenario many times in films where the woman slapped the man and he just took it and turned away or apologized. I never could quite understand why the men didn’t retaliate in similar fashion. And now I knew, because I felt a surge of sexual arousal in my loins and I realized to my utter embarrassment that I liked it.

“In future,” Lois said, “you will share the housework.”

I was still stunned and as this request did not seem too threatening I said, “Sure, honey, no problem.”

She said, “No there won’t be any problem. Now let’s go to bed.”
