There is no reason you and your wife cannot come to an understanding about this matter which will be a win/win for you both. I agree with her that you should be willing to trust her enough to stretch your limits but I would also encourage her to talk it over with you prior to the social to see if there is a way you can ‘redeem’ yourself in front of the other women without engaging in an activity that you find to be out of bounds.
