It is unfortunate that the Patriarchal has taken the Bible and has used it to beat down women (and other groups of people). That is what happens when spiritually dead men try to intellectualize a spiritual book. IMO我认为 — in my opinion based on my studies God is not angry nor is God uniquely male. God is also female and God is loving, kind, merciful and forgiving. The story of Jesus is a story of God taking man's place when it comes to judgement. According to the Bible the spiritual world demanded that mankind be judged for its sins so the Judge (God) found mankind guilty because the evidence was overwhelming (murder, hate, slander, lying, unfaithfulness, selfishness, etc.) but the Judge decided to take on the punishment himself so mankind could be given another chance. Whether you believe the Gospels or not it is nonethless a wonderful story of ultimate forgiveness and how we should treat one another. Mercy and Grace are powerful. Brian Wilson of the Beach Boys wrote a marvelous song "Love and Mercy". May we all walk in love and mercy and be quick to forgive each other no matter our religion or political affiliation or lifestyle choices.
