The reason I do not believe in the correlation between pain and subspace is because different D&S activities will transport a man to the submissive顺从 — willing to obey zone and most of these activities do not involve physical pain. A man need not be a masochist to enter subspace. Humiliation羞辱 — shame given on purpose play will transport a man to subspace. Being cuckolded (a husband who willfully accepts his wife's infidelity) transports men to subspace. Strap-on穿戴式假阳具 — a toy penis worn in a harness play, light discipline, worshipping the female body, even the sight of a woman in fetish恋物 — a strong sexual focus on one thing attire will transport some men to subspace. So what do these activities have in common? The mental stimulation of a man surrendering his will over to the woman.”
In my opinion, all men are capable of achieving subspace if they will let go and if they will surrender to a woman. Thank you for the insightful question.
Q. Dear Elise, I love the pictures on your site by Coeur and how you fashion them to the different seasons and holidays. With Christmas approaching, it made me recall what you wrote in your book about Christmas originally being founded as a holiday devoted to Goddess女神 — a woman treated as divine worship崇拜侍奉 — adoring service. I am a Christian and I celebrate the Christian meaning of the holidays but I am also a dominant woman who is married to a submissive顺从 — willing to obey man and it is nice to know that this time of year can have a dual meaning to us.
