A. The gap between men with submissive顺从 — willing to obey desires and women who want to be in charge has been closing with each generation, really with each passing year. In the 1970’s, the ratio was overwhelming and the prospect of a man being able to successfully introduce the female domination lifestyle to a woman was slim. Most men had to visit a professional Dominatrix女支配者 — a dominant woman to have a D&S session or join a BDSM group to be around dominant women (and these groups were overwhelmingly made up of submissive顺从 — willing to obey men). But with each decade, the gap is closing at a very rapid rate. Today, more and more women know about D&S so the concept is not as foreign or bizarre sounding as it was in the 60’s, 70’s and even the 80’s. That doesn’t mean that a majority of women are ready to embrace D&S but most women have at least a limited knowledge about the sexual practices of role-playing and power exchanges in the bedroom. The term S&M still freaks out a majority of the populace, but as the terminology D&S replaces S&M in the public dialogue the less people are freaked out about what consenting adults choose to do in the privacy of their bedrooms.
