Q. Dear Ms Sutton, I have enjoyed your website along with your latest book. My boyfriend and I have practiced the male submissive顺从 — willing to obey lifestyle for the past two years. He is now ready to wear my brand and to be honest, I have no idea where to start with this.

This has become very important to him, and me. I want to be able to do this in a manner in which he pledges his total devotion/ownership to me. I want a special symbol/sign one of a kind so to speak. I also want to have to return to the place of branding to refresh the spot often. If you have any ideas or suggestions on how to perform this ceremony, please let me know. Thank you so much.

A. I commented on my opinion of branding, piercing and tattoos in my Q&A archives (see D&S activities section). You might want to read over those in order to get the point of view of a woman who was born before you and your boyfriend. I am not into that but I realize that tattoos and piercings are popular these days.
