And who has the upper hand in this round, and how many rounds do we have to go and how will this match finish? Who will be on top?
A. A boxing match is too patriarchal for an analogy of female supremacy and societal evolution. Besides, in a boxing match there is a winner and a loser. I prefer to believe that society is headed to a place where both women and men are winners. Of course we believe we know who will be on top but both women and men will want women to be on top, so that makes them both winners.
Today, there are 15 rounds in a boxing match but in the days of old they fought until there was only one man standing. In other words, a match was not a reflection of time but rather the accomplishment of a goal. Football is a game of time but in baseball there is no clock, thus no one knows how long a game will last until 27 outs are recorded with one team ahead of the other.
