Q&A Forum - July 2010 (The best of Elise)

So what about the women in places like the Middle East and the Orient? They are still like the elephant who has yet to realize its power. But that will one day change as they witness the liberation and the quality of life of liberated women in the west. When women of the world see a female Secretary of State like Hillary Clinton (and Condoleezza Rice before her, and Madeline Albright before her) who meets with the most powerful men of the world and when they see a female chancellor of Germany and when they see other female world leaders, it becomes harder for men to keep them as second-class citizens. But it will take time because we are talking about overcoming centuries of brain washing. Perhaps forty years will not be enough time, I don’t know how long it will take, but once it does, there will be a drip that becomes a steady flow that becomes a flood. Once it happens, there will be no going back.
