1. The question of equality: I believe each of us is equal in the sight of God, meaning equally valuable and loved. I realize we each have different abilities, etc. So, in a couple, I think it is ok to have different 'roles' as long as they are mutually agreed upon, and complimentary. D/s seems to force us both into stricter, harsher roles than I think is good or healthy.

2. Pain infliction: This is really a big one for me. I do not want to have pain inflicted on me, nor do I want to inflict pain on anyone, especially a lover about whom I care. Furthermore, it is against my principles to harm someone else intentionally. I just don't know what to do about this dilemma.

3. Humiliation羞辱 — shame given on purpose: I believe we are to 'build one another up', not tear one another down. One of your Q&A comments did partially address this, when you said you only criticize the male's manliness, not anything else about him...you made a distinction between humiliating his ego and his esteem. But I'm not convinced that is ok to humiliate any part of someone else, including their ego...

I guess I'll stop there. I'd appreciate any illumination you might be able to give on this (these) issues. Thank you
