Remember that Jesus clearly taught it is not what goes into the body that defiles a man but what comes out of the body (Matthew 15:11). Meaning, that God isn’t so concerned about what we eat and drink (funny how religion always looks at the exterior but God always looks at the interior) but God is concerned about what comes out of our hearts. Does love, kindness, and compassion come forth from a person’s heart or does resentment, anger, bitterness, and hate come forth from a person’s heart? (Matthew 15:17-20).

The tree that was forbidden was a life lived apart from the life force because love comes from God because God is love. The curse was not brought by God judging mankind but the curse was the result of mankind walking away from Love.
