A. Ms Dowd is an intelligent woman and she has written some wonderful columns over the years. I have posted some of her columns about the sexes in my “Mainstream Research: Articles about Female Supremacy and Societal Evolution” section. She has written some important columns and made some valuable observations about men, women and societal evolution.

“Are Men Necessary?” covers a lot of ground and discusses many topics but what I want to focus on is her perceived failures of feminism. I agree with her but I disagree with Ms Dowd on the meaning of the failures of feminism. Ms Dowd seems to take offense that men are still attracted and drawn to beautiful women. She believes men are afraid of powerful women and that is why successful women such as her have not been as successful in the dating world or in building relationships with men. Ms Dowd is both attractive and intelligent but she seems to resent the way men are wired sexually.

Where this book falls short is that there are many women like Ms Dowd (successful, intelligent) who have great marriages and who are not lacking in romantic opportunities. Ms Dowd seems to lament that society has not evolved in a direction that many feminists wanted. Of course that is not true. Women are more empowered today than ever before but it is the woman who understands and uses her beauty and her sexual power that is able to draw out the submissive顺从 — willing to obey nature of man, which in turn empowers women.
