And how can a gender possibly become so powerful when the majority of them are living in awful environments and stripped of their inherent rights? When men were "dominant" and "powerful" it applied to men all over the world. Majority of men, regardless of where they lived, were powerful. That is why men dominated, and continue to dominate many aspects of society. But it’s sadly not the same story for women. Yes, women are making strides around the world, and equality is being found. However, I think it’s too optimistic to say that women are going to assume such a power that you state in 20, 40, or even 50 years.
I read an article in Marie Claire magazine about women living in Saudi Arabia. It highlighted on extremely wealthy women, but mentioned that these women are not allowed to see a doctor without the permission of a man, cannot go shopping in the same malls, and cannot hold such positions are doctors, judges, political leaders, and lawyers. These women have a shopping mall that is designed solely for women. With such oppression, how do you expect women to succeed and ultimately reach their maximum potential?
