A, I agree with her assessment on how women are excelling in taking standardized tests, and in the college classroom and in law school. The evidence is overwhelming that women are dominating college and higher education. This gap is only going to widen as college is becoming more female dominated. The debate has shifted from whether women are intellectually superior in the classroom to “what can be done about it in order to prevent males from falling further behind?” They are examining standardized tests to see if they have a female bias. So far the evidence points not to a bias but rather to the fact that women are intellectually more capable of achieving higher scores on tests because of their ability to focus and solve complex problems.
Having said that, there are still plenty of men who are passing the LSAT and who are becoming lawyers. The book work might not come as easily or as natural to men but plenty of men are paying the price of studying hard in order to pass. Aptitude varies from person and person and not every woman will pass the LSAT and not every male will fail it. We all have gifts and abilities and we must find what we do best in order to maximize our potential.
