However, these are exceptions and not the rule. Study after study shows a definite correlation between the higher the degree, the higher the earning potential. College graduates usually earn more than high school graduates and the higher the college degree, the higher the income. This is not true in every case (especially if the person owns their own business) but when it comes to working for a company, usually the higher the education, the bigger the paycheck.
Yes, many men are choosing a vocational career like auto mechanics, plumbing, construction, etc and there is nothing wrong with that as these are all great and very important professions. But it is a reality that as men opt out of college and choose vocational trades, women will be getting the higher paying jobs, and thus the wife will become the breadwinner. It is happening today. Just look around. Look at how many couples you know where the wife earns more than her husband, and compare that to a decade ago and you will see where we are headed as a society.
Women will become executives and the decision makers in business and politics. Look at how many women own businesses today. Yes, there will always be jobs for men who choose not to go to college but women will be in the authority positions. It is happening on a small scale today but it will be on a big scale in the not too distant future as today’s college graduates become tomorrow’s leaders.
