There are ways a woman can do this and still continue to work, as many companies make provisions such as allowing the woman to work from home or even allowing the woman to bring the child to the workplace, providing on-site nurseries. One of the changes you will see as women take more control over the workplace and the business world is a better work environment for mothers. We are seeing that today. Family leave policies, nurseries and child care at the workplace are all the results of the influence of women in business.

A father can be a great nanny and he can change the diapers, clean up the messes, feed the children, and most importantly love the children. But a father cannot be a mother and he cannot be the nurturer. He can be nurturing but he cannot be the nurturer. Of course there are some cases when the father has no choice and he must be both father and mother to a child. These men are to be admired. However, all things being equal it is best for children if they bond with a female in those initial months after childbirth. Thanks for the great question and take care.
