I disagree with you about the trend of girls excelling in school while boys are falling behind being a reflection of a failed educational system. It is what it is. Yes, girls are genetically designed to do better in the classroom as it does lend itself to women’s intellectual strength. But that is not a failure of the educational system but merely a fact of life. The educational system teaches the same material to both boys and girls. Grades are earned by performance (at least they should be) and not by any gender bias. True, girls tend to be better students as they are more disciplined and work harder in school. But those same traits that lead to excellence in school are the same traits that will lead women to excellence in the workforce. There is a correlation. Good habits formed today will be good habits utilized tomorrow.
