A. I think your wife has misunderstood my views. I said that a pregnancy should be between a wife and her husband, not her lover. The reason I say the seed should be that of the husband is because the alternative opens the door for all kinds of problems, legally, emotionally and socially. One day that child will probably find out who her/his biologically father really is and to place that kind of emotional strain on a child when it is not necessary, well it is not a good idea.

What I said was that if an “accident” were to occur and the woman became impregnated by her lover, that the husband should be supportive and should realize that a father is not the one who plants the seed but a true father is the one who raises the child, loves the child and cares for the child. But there is a big difference between an accidental pregnancy and a planned pregnancy. The husband should surely love the child of the woman he loves, regardless of who plants the seed. Yet, it is only human nature to struggle with emotional issues and that is a battle that need not occur.
