A man who went by the psuedonym “Little John” and was part of the Guyette social circle would introduce John Coutts to Irving Klaw during the year Klaw began to produce fetish恋物 — a strong sexual focus on one thing material. Eric Stanton also began to sell his female domination drawings to Klaw but the relationship didn’t last when Klaw demanded Stanton cover up the whip marks in his drawings with clothing. Stanton began to sell his work to Lenny Burtman.
By 1955 Lenny Burtman was publishing “Exotique” magazine. “Exotique” ran for 36 issues from 1955 to 1959. Exotique was distributed nationwide and was one of the key fetish恋物 — a strong sexual focus on one thing publications of the late 1950’s.
