Friday the convention begins as the public is welcomed to walk through the convention hall (or hotel ballroom) for a modest entry fee. There you might see your favorite fetish恋物 — a strong sexual focus on one thing model or get a chance to chat with your favorite Dominatrix女支配者 — a dominant woman or get the opportunity to purchase fetish恋物 — a strong sexual focus on one thing outfits and BDSM toys.

Most tables will have pamphlets, business cards, and literature to give you, just like any other trade show you attend. Only at DomCon and FetishCon the literature and business cards are usually very creative with images of leather-clad Mistresses女主人 — a woman who leads a submissive partner with whips.

There will also be demonstrations by some of the vendors. There may be a demonstration on how to use a single-tail whip or how to engage in Japanese rope bondage捆绑 — being tied or restrained. And of course there will be lots of pictures being taken of high-profile Dominant women and fetish恋物 — a strong sexual focus on one thing models by their adoring fans. Cameras are welcomed but video camcorders are not.

Some of these events also hold classes. DomCon will hold sessions for the Mistresses女主人 — a woman who leads a submissive partner so they can learn the business side of whipping men for a living. There may be classes on legal issues, how to set up a business for tax purposes, how to create a paid website, and other such issues.
