The exhibit hall usually closes at 6pm and Friday night is time to party. There may be a large play party where the Mistresses女主人 — a woman who leads a submissive partner can show off their skills. Or there may be a Fetish恋物 — a strong sexual focus on one thing Fashion show or a slave奴隶 — a person kept in total obedience auction for charity or just a chance to eat, drink and mingle. The public is welcome to the play parties if they pay the entrance fee. This provides another chance to meet your favorite Dominatrix女支配者 — a dominant woman. If you go to these events, don't be shy. They may seem like celebrities to you but they are there to network themselves and to build their clientele. Just make sure you show them respect and that you value their time.

Each year, there are fetish恋物 — a strong sexual focus on one thing events around the world. Back in the early 90's, the big event was the Dressing for Pleasure Galas. Then came such events as the Black and Blue Ball in New York, the Rubber Ball in Europe, the annual Black Rose weekend in Washington DC, the Hedonism event in Jamaica, the Leather Retreat in Northern Maryland, the Black Beat weekend and many other such events.

In 2000, one of the biggest annual events was BondCon held twice a year, once on the east coast and once on the west coast. New York was the usual host for BondCon east while Las Vegas served to be the host city of BondCon west.
