Catwoman
Screen 6 of 6
The classic Catwoman "died" in DC Superstars #17 in 1977. But in 1987, Frank Miller brings back Catwoman (BATMAN #404). Selina is now a former prostitute out for revenge after her pimp got too rough. Selina wears a black leather catsuit连体紧身衣 — a tight suit that covers the whole body which has been adapted from a Dominatrix女支配者 — a dominant woman outfit, which she wore for her clients. In the years since then, Catwoman has always worn a catsuit连体紧身衣 — a tight suit that covers the whole body. One must wonder if Miller’s version of Catwoman was inspired by his own sexual fantasies that he acquired from watching Julie Newmar in her catsuit连体紧身衣 — a tight suit that covers the whole body. Many males viewed Newmar’s Catwoman as a Dominatrix女支配者 — a dominant woman. Miller made the transition complete by re-writing Catwoman as a former Dominatrix女支配者 — a dominant woman turned villain.
With the success of Batman Returns, DC Comics apparently felt Catwoman could sustain a comic of her own. In August of 1993, after testing the waters with a four-part mini-series, Catwoman #1 hit the stands. Written by Jo Duffy and pencilled by Jim Balent, Catwoman was born again, this time in an even more form-fitting purple costume and a physique that was sure to arouse the male readers. Needless to say, it was an immediate hit and has appeared every month since.
