Ms Kathleen's Movie Review
Screen 3 of 4
Perhaps the best and most erotic scene was when Serverin was being chased by three semi-naked African women who capture him, bind him like an ox to a cart and proceed to whip him as if he were an animal. While this is transpiring, Serverin’s narration reveals to us about the all important childhood event which triggered his submissive顺从 — willing to obey desires. Again, if you have read the book, this scene will be quite profound.
The impression this movie left me with was a glimpse inside the person once they begin to embrace FemDom女性支配 — female domination. It reveals the struggle within the female and how that can play itself out in a real-time relationship. Is one just going through the motions to please another? Is there a point of no return when one truly embraces this way of life? Is it possible to be “cured” from these desires? The film asks these pointed questions but does not necessarily answer them.
If you are looking for a D/s film with a plenty of action, this isn’t it. If you are looking for a film with terrific acting and an on screen chemistry between the actors, this isn’t it. But if you’ve read the book and are looking to see the characters come alive, I would recommend it. However, it is pricey ($55 and up on Amazon). I suggest finding someone who already owns the DVD and borrowing it. And if you have not read the book, I highly suggest you do.
