Ed Wood surrounded him with society’s misfits. It is said that he remained nonjudgmental because if he weren’t, he would not have any friends. In addition to the now morphine addicted Bela, his other friends (and regulars in his movies included) Tor Johnson (a professional wrestler from Sweden); Criswell (a self-proclaimed psychic); Vamipra (the midnight movie hostess) and Bunny Breckinridge (an eccentric millionaire known for his flamboyant lifestyle and desire for a sex change operation, which he never got).

‘Ed Wood’ is biopic in nature with artistic liberties taken by the director Tim Burton. However, the movie shares almost nothing from the earlier years of his life and only a brief paragraph at the conclusion of the movie about his later years and eventual early death.
