Baxter is visibly shaken, tries loosening himself and does everything in his power to hide his face. But there is no place to run and no place to hide and all he can see is the look of disgust on his pals face. This is an extremely heart-wrenching scene to witness as you can feel the pain and humiliation羞辱 — shame given on purpose Baxter is experiencing while at the same time his buddy is confounded, confused and repulsed all at the same time.

For those submissive顺从 — willing to obey men who saw this movie back when it was originally released I imagine you were probably undergoing the same emotions Baxter was. Let us consider for a moment that in 1977 D/s was not widely discussed as it is today. This was a time before the Internet, HBO, DDI or any of the luxuries we take for granted today. Precious little communication was being discussed about these sorts of activities and to find like-minded people could be likened to finding a pearl in an oyster….few are found.

And discovering a mainstream movie to broach this subject was also rare indeed. We can only imagine how startled one was when they happened upon this movie at this period in time. But in true Hollywood fashion they went for the shock value and portrayed the Domme女主人 — a dominant woman, as one officer referred to her, “a scum sucking freak”, and Baxter as a “pervert”.
