Bob had a second chance to “take a ride” the afternoon of New Years Eve. He was not thrilled about the idea, especially since my Mom was here at the time. My main reason for this “ride” was to show off the “horse” to my Mom and to get commitments for some New Years resolutions I had in mind for him. This time I tried hoisting his arms up a little higher behind his back, causing him to be a bit more bent forward for the ride. He reached the point of “wanting to deal” a little bit quicker this time, and it didn’t take too long for him to agree to all the resolutions on my list, which impressed my Mom. She too feels that we have a quite useful tool to be used during this New Year when we need to “talk things over” with my husband.
