Dear Elise, After reading about “the horse” in your October 2006 issue of Q&A, I e-mailed you requesting where I could find more information on the topic, and you were kind enough to send me the link information. Once again I thank your for that information. Also in mid-November I allowed my husband to send you a message in which he tells you somewhat about our relationship and the fact that at times my mother is also involved. Since he had overheard us talking about “the horse”, and I was somewhat curious to see what you might tell him, I allowed his question for enlightenment to pass and I sent you his message. Some interesting things have occurred here and I thought I would give you an update.

Since Bob, my husband, is good working with his hands, I gave the directions from what I had read and seen on your site to him, with instructions to build this item for me. I’m glad to report that he did an excellent job when it came to constructing “the horse” where he could have done a poor job, since he had some idea what this would be used for. It seems he had seen and read about how this had been used in the past to punish men. What he didn’t realize however was the full effects. I would later find out that after he constructed it, he spent about 5-7 minutes on the horse, trying it out and he came to the conclusion that it was a harmless device and one he could handle with no problem. However, he would soon find out how wrong he was.
