Real Stories - October 2005

I don’t recommend dating a religious woman for the purpose of engaging in “teasing and denial” games. I know that is not what you set out to do but it was the progression of the relationship. Your take on it is interesting. You view it as prolonged and forced teasing and denial but I am sure she viewed it as trying to live a Holy life.

It is obvious that Shelly was trying to walk the “straight and narrow” while still having fun in a sexually charged world. That can be a very difficult walk. She sounds like she was innocent and not very discerning if she wouldn’t watch television but she would still go out clubbing. She was obviously a “baby Christian” who was still trying to find her way. One has to admire her for wanting to please God by abstaining from sexual relations before marriage. You might not have liked it but one has to respect a woman who has that kind of spirituality.
