But she must not do things out of guilt. In fact, she needs to conqueror her guilt by refusing to give in to the traditions of a patriarchal system. To do chores because she feels guilt would be a mistake and would only reinforce a wrong mind-set. But to do chores because she loves you and wants to help you or because she loves doing certain household tasks, that is totally different than doing them out of societal expectations. It all comes back to attitude and motivation.
Finally, how your boys view all of this will also be based on your attitude. It is healthy for them to see their father doing most of the housework as long as they realize you do it out of your love and devotion to your wife. That is a wonderful male role-model. And as long as they can see the love between you and your wife and as long as they can see that you obey her because you love her, then they will carry that over into their future relationships with women. They will not view Mommy as being lazy while daddy does all the work unless they hear daddy complaining that Mommy is lazy. In houses where one spouse puts down the other, the children can form attitudes based on those negative comments. So as long as you are praising your wife in front of your sons, and as long as they see that you serve your wife because you are devoted to her, they will form positive attitudes about their mother and about women in general. I do wish you all the best.
