It is unfortunate that the Patriarchal has taken the Bible and has used it to beat down women. That is what happens when spiritually dead men try to intellectualize a spiritual book. They see apples and curses and judgments and sin and hell and damnation and fear and they use it to rule over people. Women need not fear God nor the Bible because God is not an angry man nor is God uniquely male. God is also female and God is loving and kind and merciful and forgiving. All we need to do is partake of that Tree of Life and have that personal walk with God. Religious people are sin conscious. Spiritual people are God conscious. When you are God conscious (the tree of life) you are not sin conscious (the tree of the knowledge of good and evil). Sex is shameful and dirty to religious people. Sex is spiritual and beautiful to the spiritual person.

Q. Dear Elise, my husband and I are in our late 50's with a son in graduate school. Our marriage has always been in my control, but now that we're retired "empty nesters," we are able to be more open and relaxed with our playtime and lifestyle.
