I have made this statement many times but I must make it again. In the United States, the Genie is out of her bottle and she will never be put back in again. Now that women are liberated, educated, and empowered, the patriarchy will never be able to deceive women in this society again into viewing themselves as second class citizens.

The women’s liberation movement had its pioneers and champions who blazed the trail by standing up to the patriarchal structure and daring to challenge women to rise up and demand equal rights and equal opportunities in education and employment. Once women began to stand up for themselves, the previously dormant dominant female nature began to be unleashed and the patriarchy began to lose ground. But it took women encouraging other women by setting the example.
