Q&A Forum - May 2008 (The best of Elise series)
Screen 6 of 40
It was not always like that, in fact you don’t have to go back very far to find a time when a majority of males had a chauvinistic view of women. But no more. The dominant nature of woman is unleashed and the submissive顺从 — willing to obey nature of man is now free to be expressed. These natures now feed off of each other, thus women are becoming more empowered with each generation.
So what about the women in places like the Middle East and the Orient? They are still like the Elephant who has yet to realize its power. But that will one day change as they witness the liberation and the quality of life of liberated women in the west. When women of the world see a Condoleezza Rice as Secretary of State who meets with the most powerful men of the world and when they see a female chancellor of Germany and when they see a female President of the United States, it will become harder for men to keep them as second-class citizens. But it will take time because we are talking about overcoming centuries of brain washing. Perhaps forty years will not be enough time, I don’t know how long it will take, but once it does, there will be a drip that becomes a steady flow that becomes a flood. Once it happens, there will be no going back.
